Notes to Self is my answer to the question, “Where was I when I needed me?”

Each short note is written in free verse (a poem that has no rhyme or meter). I’ve written them all in the past, which makes them a delightful surprise for all of us!

This newsletter is about showing up for myself at home, work, and play by using my favorite tools: creative writing, humor, and emerging newsletter platforms. You’ll find me riffing on topics I’ve covered in my latest writing for The Good Trade, telling stories about my rabbits, and sharing the successes and the failures of my efforts to live a more mindful life.

I am generous with puns. I believe small, silly things are important. Sometimes I mix metaphors, so sue me (don’t).

Why daily?

I love my routines, so I send these to myself to read each weekday during my AM coffee hour. If you’re reading it daily too, why not pretend we’re sharing a cuppa and reading it together?

XO,

Emily
