Millions of lives lurch
on their individual axis.
Social diameters shrink and
expand without warning,
our orbits collide, every
trajectory is as scientific
as it is random. All of this
and we’re still only a small
sigh of a moment.But we still have to worry
about what’s for dinner
and who’s going
to the store.
I’m trying to balance the big stuff and the small stuff; to grasp the existential while remembering to let my shoulders get a little touch of sunlight each day, to lift a little water to my lips, when I can remember to do so. Take care of yourselves.
